Lots of firsts for the puppies. The pups are starting to transition from scooching to walking, although still quite wobbly on their short little legs. Last night, they had their first taste of goat milk. They didn't give the bottle an enthusiastic paws up, but all the pups filled their tummies and we had a quieter night. I expect after a few more sessions, they will think a bottle of goat milk is wonderful. As of today, Juliette is up 7 c of food, but still doesn't have an abundance of milk. Despite that, the pups have doubled their birth weight by Day 8, and even more importantly, the pups are gaining at a fairly uniform rate, which is excellent. This morning was the first day that the pool bedding was damp, so the pups are starting to toilet on their own. They also had their first nail trim today, and are now sporting tie elastic collars.
